​Since our physicians have focused their practice of medicine to hospitalized patients, we understand the complexities of acute illnesses and the operations of the hospital.

  • We routinely staff our hospitalist physicians in the hospital every day and until midnight every night
  • We are also available by phone 24 hours per day, every day
  • Due to our availability, we are able to get to the patients more quickly, get the appropriate tests ordered, make the diagnosis, create the treatment plan, and make adjustments to the treatment plan as necessary​

Gates Hospitalists, LLC was formed in 2002. Our group is comprised of eleven Board Certified Internal Medicine or Family Medicine trained physicians who practice medicine exclusively in the hospital. A Hospitalist physician cares for you while you are in the hospital in the place of your primary care physician.


Our physicians strive to deliver the best possible patient care while working together with primary care physicians, consulting specialist physicians, and the nursing staff at both North Kansas City Hospital and Liberty Hospital. Our experienced physicians are proud to provide a high quality level of medical experience to our patients.
